A few weeks ago I started my new column. In my Marilyn mania I didn’t really think the whole thing through. I briefly mentioned that Ms Monroe wore fur but when it came time to choose my next style icon I was shocked at how many modern-day celebs are now wearing fur. I might have given the late Monroe a pass but the buck stops there. No peeps who wear fur will feature on this blog.
So how stoked was I to discover that Michelle Obama has sworn to never wear fur. And she’s also an animal lover who adores her dog, Bo. Awwwww.
Two weeks ago I discovered that Natio’s Little Treasures range was coming to an end. This was how I took the news:

Colour: Lemon from their Little Treasures range. This colour is so much fun. It’s bright, unusual without being OTT and surprisingly complements more outfits than one would expect. In fact, the colour is its saving grace and while I wouldn’t buy this again, I’ll definitely use up the bottle.

It’s V Day soon. Or maybe for some it feels like D Day. It doesn’t matter whether you are flying solo or coupled up, it’s the perfect excuse to bring out the red.
Style Dares. Have you heard of them? It all started when blogger Fox In Flats dared her readers to wear red lipstick every day for a week. It went gangbusters. Now people from all around the world are chomping at the bit to be taken outside their comfort zones. I’ve been doing them for a while now and lemme tell ya it’s a lot of fun. The support you get is unbelievable. Strangers liking your posts and leaving flattering comments can be a much-needed ego boost, particularly for those of us who have been stuck in a style rut.
