Mascara Smackdown

PicFrame

Ed’s note: A few months ago I was asked to recommend a mascara that would make eyelashes look really big. After contacting some lovely beauty companies they sent us a stack of mascaras to try. I enlisted the help of two sisters Chloe and Lily to see what they thought and most importantly, what was the most volumising. Here’s what they had to say:

Mother’s Day Gift Ideas (i.e. My Top 5 Wishlist)

Wishlist

This time last year my baby was only five months old so I didn’t feel qualified for Mother’s Day presents. I don’t really feel qualified  now either – my 17-month-old can’t drink out of a cup, let alone go shopping for gifts. So I’ve written a hypothetical Mother’s Day list and I figure I might as well share it with my dear readers. Who knows? It might even inspire you for gift ideas for your mum.

1) Inika Certified-Organic Liquid Foundation

I’ve heard such good things about this award-winning mineral makeup. For $65 a pop I probably should wait until I’ve used up my Face of Australia stuff. But if someone were to buy for it for me, like my partner, I’d feel like this.

It’s FABruary

Style Dares. Have you heard of them? It all started when blogger Fox In Flats dared her readers to wear red lipstick every day for a week. It went gangbusters. Now people from all around the world are chomping at the bit to be taken outside their comfort zones. I’ve been doing them for a while now and lemme tell ya it’s a lot of fun. The support you get is unbelievable. Strangers liking your posts and leaving flattering comments can be a much-needed ego boost, particularly for those of us who have been stuck in a style rut.  Continue reading
