When browsing for new gloss, I’d always look to lighter colours and never bothered looking at a red. I honestly thought red would age me or make my lips look smaller. I don’t know what started my fear, but I’ve avoided it like the plague since I first dressed these smoochers in cosmetics, and would always opt for nude or pinky glosses. I figured these lighter colours would make my lips seem fuller, more natural and also complement my olive skin.
1) Lush’s Daddy O violet shampoo for blond and grey hair. It smells so frikkin yummy and makes my hair so shiny. I bought the 100gram bottle for my Kakadu travels and I will definitely be repurchasing a bigger size.
We’re coming into dangerous gloss-wearing weather. A wind might mean hair getting stuck to your mouth. But if you’re willing to risk it or if you’re rocking an up-do then boy, do I have the gloss for you.

That’s a big handful of lipstick
Last month we received eight of Australis’ new lipstick range. I was so excited that I took the picture above and posted it onto facebook straightaway. One of our readers asked me when they would be released so she could buy one. After looking down at my gigantic handful of lipsticks I realised that I just had to share the love. Even though I’ve never met our reader Amy I got a lippy over to her stat.
You may have noticed we’ve gone a bit nuts lately in the lipstick department. Kate and I have leapt from our comfort zones into unknown territory and for the most part we’ve been pretty happy with our new discoveries. However, with all our lipstick shenanigans we’ve been neglecting the glosses and lip balms of the world.
