Australis Powder Cream

Hello there. Long time no see. What have you been up to? I had a baby four months ago so both beauty and writing about beauty have been low on my priority list. Since giving birth to my second son, I’ve resembled a crazy lady. Now I’m slowly finding my way out of the baby fog with the goal to spend more time doing things I enjoy. It’s good to be back …

Product/Price: Australis Powder Cream. It’s a 3-in-1 concealer, foundation, powder with SPF 15. Find it for $14.50 at Priceline, Kmart, Big W and selected pharmacies or shop online.

Verdict (yay or nay): I’ve been planning to get this review up for ages. Disclaimer: the packaging has changed but the product is still the same.

When I bought this I was after something that would be quick and easy to apply. I’m just going to be a straight shooter and say, I hated this foundation. It’s flakey, hard to blend and looked unnatural around my hairline. It sat in my pores like a clogged drain and felt heavy on my skin. The coverage was very light and not suitable for my freckly, wrinkly skin. Worse of all, it was very itchy.

Hard to blend

Hard to blend – especially around my eyebrow and corner of my nose

I also used the Australis foundation brush instead of the sponge that came with it but it didn’t make a difference. So I tried  to blend bits into my primer and apply it like a tinted foundation but that was still no good. So this gets a nay for me. Sorry that my first post is a bit of a downer. I’ve got some yays coming up soon so watch this space.
