Ed’s note: Today’s post comes from our contributor Andrea Reitano.

I’m one of those people who abuse the snooze button. So my chances of making it to work on time are slim if I want to start the long lasting, liquid foundation charade. My solution to the problem has always been a loose powder. Innoxa has won my heart and been so good to me over the years when choosing those precious moments of extra sleep.

Brand/Product: Innoxa – Mineral Powder Foundation.

Price: At $19.95 a pop, it fits nicely into a uni student’s budget. Buy it from Priceline, Myer, selected pharmacies or shop online.

Why we love it: It’s easy and quick to apply with even coverage. Being a low cost mineral foundation doesn’t hurt either.

Colour: It comes in three shades: light, medium and dark. Not a particularly broad spectrum, but the medium shade has been kinder to me than any liquid foundation to date.

Verdict (Yay or Nay): A hands down yay!

It’s light, gentle and lets your skin breathe. It contains vitamins C and E so it’s kind to your skin. The mineral formula makes it great for sensitive skin, especially as there are no preservatives.

If you’re after something long lasting, it’s not the way to go. The colour tends to fade by mid afternoon. Also, it can be quite difficult to track down instore, so I advise when you do find your shade you buy in bulk or shop online.
