Lush – Bubblegum Lip Scrub

Ed’s note: This post was written by Contributing Editor, Kate Derrick.

Brand/Product: Lush’s bubblegum-flavoured sugar lip scrub.

Price: Emma was given a pot of Bubblegum Lip Scrub at a recent bloggers event hosted by Lush. She kindly passed this tasty pot on to me. Bubblegum Lip Scrub will set you back $9.95 for a 25g pot. You can pick it up from a Lush store or shop online.

Why We Love It: This product is vegan friendly and the perfect antidote to dry, cracked, wintery lips.

With the change in weather I tend to get dry skin and cracked lips. This makes my lipstick look less than perfect at times. I was recently contemplating what to do about this when with perfect timing Emma gave me Lush’s Bubblegum Lip Scrub.

It’s made from castor sugar and organic flour and is a great, tasty scrub for your lips. Simply rub it on your lips to exfoliate and then lick it off. Finish off by applying some of your favourite lip balm. I wouldn’t go so far as to say it tastes delicious but there’s nothing wrong with the taste of this scrub.

A lovely personalised touch by Lush

Bubblegum Lip Scrub does the trick beautifully. I found the scrub gentle on my lips but Emma found it a little harsh on hers. I think the key is to use a little bit and scrub gently to start off with.

Verdict (Yay or Nay): Yay! I’m loving Bubblegum Lip Scrub. It leaves your lips feeling soft and supple. Goodbye cracked wintery lips.

Note: Here at My Fair Lipstick we like to say what we think. My review is in no way influenced by the fact it was given to us for free by Lush.

Ed’s note: Did you notice ‘My boy lollipop’ is written on the side of the tub? Now I’ve got the Millie Small song in my head – awesome!

  1. I have the Popcorn Lip Scrub. I LOVE IT!!! The bubblegum was way too sweet for me 😦 If you have a Lush near you, sample the popcorn scrub if you haven’t yet 🙂
