You may have noticed we’ve gone a bit nuts lately in the lipstick department. Kate and I have leapt from our comfort zones into unknown territory and for the most part we’ve been pretty happy with our new discoveries. However, with all our lipstick shenanigans we’ve been neglecting the glosses and lip balms of the world.
I’ve personally been missing wearing gloss. I enjoy the low maintenance and subtlety of gloss. But more importantly, I’m always on the lookout for a good lip balm. It’s the bread and butter of caring for your lips.
Brand: Natio paw paw lip balm.
Price: $7.95 at Discount Chemist, Myer, selected chemists and health food shops. You can also find it online.
Verdict (yay or nay): It comes with jojoba, honey and cocoa butter – it smells sweet and has a mild taste. In Summer it became runny, but thanks to the cooler weather it’s at a thicker consistency.
I prefer the taste, texture and packaging of Natio’s moisturising lip balm instead. Having said that, I’ve been using it as a cuticle oil. I feel better carrying this in my handbag than those cuticule oils that come in the glass bottles. So it has a nay for lipbalm but a yay for cuticule oil – just to confuse things.
